Beginning with an analytical presentation of two artworks focussing on composition and colour strategies, you will then have the opportunity to complete a colour study, recreating colours which Seago and Arnesby Brown used to capture the natural beauty of Norfolk so well.

Under Kester’s guidance, you will then create a design sketch from reference photos of Norfolk landscapes employing the compositional methods used by our case study artists before combining all you have learnt in the workshop to create an original oil sketch which captures the essence of the Norfolk landscape.

Held at Hoveton Village Hall, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, this workshop is intended for those fairly new to oil painting.
